It catches the light like a little cumulus cloud sitting on my counter, and the handblown glass feels almost weightless when I whisk. The wide bowl shape gives the chasen plenty of room to aerate the tea, and I’ve actually stopped using my ceramic one entirely.

The handblown glass is surprisingly thin and elegant, and the cloud-inspired texture gives it a dreamy look on my tea shelf. Whisking matcha in it feels more delicate than my ceramic bowl, and I love seeing the bright green foam against the clear glass.
